I was surprised and thrilled when my partner Iain gave me a gift voucher to go to Body Shots. I had not be

en well and was feeling quite low. Iain had thought of something so romantic as often men fall back on a bunch of flowers as the 'cure all.'

He said he wanted me to see what he sees in me. I suppose I'm like a lot of women - sometimes we can be too critical of ourselves and although I was excited at the thought of 'what they could do with me' I was definitely nervous. I was worried I would look fat and not measure up.

Before going to my session one of the women at Body Shots talked me through my concerns. eg. what to wear - I wasn't sure what clothes to take, would they be right, good enough - so in the end I took heaps. The idea of the 6 looks is to tell a progressive story of my life. For a fun theme shot I took my back pack and wore my old denim shirt. It's really very photogenic. It's one of my favourite photos!

When I arrived at Body Shots the staff were very friendly, that helped me relax. The photographer went through the display albums with me to see what I liked and worked out my six different looks. She showed me how, with draping and posing, they could subtly hide any parts of my body I wasn't comfortable with and emphasise the parts I'm h

appier with.

The make up artist while styling my hair and doing my make up explained each stage of the make over, taking into account my skin, hair and eye colouring. I couldn't believe how heavy the make up for photography was. It was hard to imagine that it would look natural but it did.

The shoot was fun, I guess the hardest part was not knowing what to expect, the fear of feeling exposed and

whether I would pose the right way. My concerns were unfounded as I was quickly put at ease and became absorbed and fascinated by the experience itself.

Even when I had a little flesh exposed they put me in a gown until the last second, and when in position, it was taken off for the shot and put straight back on again.

By the end of the shoot I was so relaxed and having so much fun, I didn't want it to finish.

The results are amazing. Body Shots have done wonders for my self confidence.
